Dr. D. David Mu is a board-certified adult psychiatrist currently practicing in his private office in Towson, Maryland. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude in the field of neurobiology. Following graduation Dr. Mu moved to Baltimore where he received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. During medical school training Dr. Mu developed an interest in helping those afflicted with mental suffering. He went on to complete his internship at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital and completed his residency in General Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Mu is licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maryland and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Maryland Psychiatric Society.
Currently Dr. Mu sees adult patients in his private office in Towson Maryland and treats a wide range of psychiatric conditions. He is particularly interested in the treatment of mood disorders, including major depression and bipolar illness, anxiety disorders, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as well as issues relating to women's mental health, including psychiatric illnesses that arise during pregnancy and in the post-partum period. Dr. Mu utilizes a combination of psychopharmacology and talk therapy individually tailored to the needs of the patient.
